Street Outreach

Several times a week, we have teams visit local encampments to build and maintain relationships, connect individuals to local resources, and encourage positive growth throughout the year.  We connect individuals to existing services and help fill in the gaps to reach long-term stability.

Transitional Housing

We provide transitional housing for up to 10 men at a time and help each resident work towards their goals as they transition to permanent housing. Men can stay for up to 6 months at a time as they actively work to get back up on their feet. We help offset the cost of counseling, offer budgeting and life skills classes, and provide case management for each resident as they grow stronger and become self-sufficient.

Cold Patrol

When temperatures reach 32 degrees or below, we staff the Coldest Nights emergency shelters (where individuals are provided a warm meal, shower, and fellowship as well as a safe place to sleep).  Our outreach teams provide transportation to the shelters as necessary, actively look for individuals who are at risk, and work to ensure individuals who choose to not access shelter have access to the supplies they need to make it through the night.

During the Coldest Nights Emergency Shelter Season, these volunteers drive around "patroling" for folks who can't physically make it across town, and provide transportation to the shelter.

Case Management

We have a designated street outreach director who actively works with individuals experiencing homelessness one-on-one to eliminate barriers to permanent housing, mental health services, physical health services, and substance abuse treatment. We are able to assess individuals for what services they are eligible to receive and eliminate barriers and facilitate the connection to those services.

Home Team Mentorship

Moving from the streets to housing can be a daunting process. We are working to establish a group of designated volunteers focused on mentoring our recently housed individuals. These mentors help our friends build a stable support network to ensure their needs for community are met and they are able to access appropriate resources in their new environment to make a seamless transition from streets to home.

These are volunteers who call and check in on our clients who have gotten into house. Loneliness is one of the biggest struggles for our clients when they have moved into housing. Calling/ visiting with clients goes a long way to making them feel connected to the community.
